A classic horizontal blind with 2-inch faux wood slats, made to the width and height you enter. Tilt the slats to let light in or close them for privacy; raise the whole blind to clear the window.

A zebra shade (also called a banded or layered shade) is a continuous loop of fabric with alternating sheer and solid stripes. Roll it so the solid bands line up and the window is covered; roll it a few inches further and the sheer bands align for a soft, open view.
