Custom Cellular Shades
Cellular shades fold into honeycomb-shaped cells that trap a layer of air against the glass. That is what makes them the usual choice for windows that run hot in summer and cold in winter, and for a soft, even light.
Ours come cordless, motorized or dual-motor under a 1.5-inch curved cassette. Choose bottom-up, top-down/bottom-up to uncover the top of the window first, or day/night with two fabrics on one shade.

Guides for this category
- Blackout vs light filtering vs screen shades
Pick by what the room is for — sleep, soft daylight, or a view — then check how it behaves at night with the lights on.
- How to measure for blinds and shades
A steel tape, three measurements per dimension, and the nearest eighth of an inch — that is all it takes.
- Inside mount vs outside mount
The mount decides how you measure, how the product looks, and how much light leaks around it.
- How to install our blinds and shades
A level, a drill and about fifteen minutes per window.
Common questions
- What does top-down/bottom-up do?
- The shade can lower from the top as well as rise from the bottom, so you can let light in over the top of the window while the lower half stays covered — useful for street-facing bedrooms and bathrooms.
- What is a day/night cellular shade?
- Two fabrics on one headrail — typically a light-filtering and a room-darkening fabric — so you can switch between them without a second shade. In our catalog day/night requires matching fabric colors.
